Lighthouse, located on the shore road to Woods Hole, has been in existence for
many years, guiding cargo ships and pleasure craft through the tricky straight
in Woods Hole and on to the Cape Cod Canal.
The original color in the late 1800’s was black. More recently it has been painted white and its newest recreation is
cedar shingles.
