A very dear friend of mine, Paul Zepf, a decorated Boston firefighter and his
neighbor Doug Oakely, who has just been diagnosed with ALS are on a "4
Points Ride" of the United States. The purpose of the fund raiser is to support
Doug's dream ride and ALS awareness. 100% of the of the money raised for
this great cause by your generous purchase of raffle tickets, will go directly to Doug to help offset the cost of this ride
and future medical expenses.
The Parrott Bar and Grille, located in Cataumet, MA has generously donated wall
space, printing of raffle tickets, special events and so much more. It just goes
to show you that even in this time of financial uncertainty, there are
still folks who know what really counts and understand how important it is for
all of us to take care of each other in a time of need. The owners of "The
Parrot", Chrissy and Tracey make it clear that their customers are so much more
than just customers...they're family. Their dedication to this event, the many
hours they have spent organizing and promoting this fund raiser for Doug Oakely
and the considerable amount of personal effort and finances they have devoted is
a perfect example of what Cape Codder's are all about. Holly Hudson, interior
designer extraordinaire and Director of Interiors for the highly respected firm
Hutker Architecture has contributed her time and skills as well.
This is a terrific opportunity for you to own a signed and numbered Giclée print
...framed and ready to hang on your wall while supporting a worthy cause. Raffle
tickets, which are $10 each, may be purchased at the
Parrot Bar and Grille in
Cataumet, MA. There are six beautifully framed prints to choose from.
The first six framed prints include images of Nobska Lighthouse, Quissett
Harbor, Woods Hold Golf Club, Surf Drive Beach, Bourne Farm and an action packed
print of the biggest racing yachts in the world. As
each print reaches it's framed retail value
The Parrot Bar and Grille will be
having a random drawing for the winning ticket holder. Then, I will be replacing the
print with another fine art print. If you have a particular print image that you would like to see included in this fund raiser I'd be happy to consider
all recommendations.
