One
of Falmouth’s landmarks on Cape Cod is this lovely old structure which has been in
continuous use for over a century. Many of Falmouth’s most notable
artists have found inspiration in the morning light of West Falmouth
Harbor. Low tide invites you to watch, as local shell fishermen sweep the
harbor for littlenecks and steamers. If you're lucky, they'll appear on
you dinner table that very evening. I was inspired to paint this tranquil
scene by the soft light patterns of the sun peeking through the
trees, illuminating this historic building.
